RIA Advisory’s Virtual Charity concert

COVID-19 has transformed our lives.

Amongst several other things, it has fundamentally changed how we work, how to interact with our team members, and how we keep our customers engaged.

The #NewNormal at RIA

Over the past few months, the RIA team has adapted well to the #NewNormal.

While our worldwide teams are working from home, the projects are not impacted at all, and teams continue to deliver high-quality work even while working remotely. Our sales and marketing teams focused on growing the businesses which allowed us to win new customers and also enter into completely new areas like Utilities and Public Sector. Our customer success teams are regularly in touch with clients to ensure that they receive regular communication and updates from us.

RIA Cares

  • While everybody is busy ensuring that the bottom-line is not impacted, we have the RIA Cares team that keeps a sharp focus on our philanthropy initiatives.
  • Recently, the team organized our first Virtual Charity Concert in August 2020. The concert had musical performances from the RIA family and their kids.
  • Money raised for the event was donated to Child Rights and You (CRY), a nonprofit whose mission is to change the lives of underprivileged youth in India.

The Virtual Charity Concert

This was truly an event by the children for the children.

The following RIA family members and their kids performed at the event –

Performers/ instruments/ songs:

  • Ritesh Mukherji on the piano performed the song “You Will Be Found” by the broadway show Dear Chris Hansen
  • Mihir Pabby and Alex Vanlidth on the cello and violin, performed “Brandenburg Concerto 3” by Bach
  • Aarav Shukla on the drums, performed the song “No One Knows” by Queen of the Stone Age
  • Balu Rajendrakurup and his son Aadi Balu, performed a percussion ensemble with various instruments.
  • Dhruvasree Mukherjee sang the popular songs “Maahi Ve” by AR Rehman and “Aahatein” by Agnee

  • Brother and sister duo Meghali and Pranjal Banerjee performed “Valerie” by Amy Winehouse through song and on the guitar, and piano.
  • Max Vallone performed “Claire De Lune” by Debussy on the piano.

Special Guests:

  • The concert also featured special guests Wizzmer and Sammy Hawk from Los Wizzards, the house band for the Miami Heat. Along with Ale Mor, a talented Colombian multilingual singer.
  • The band performed the songs: Fussy, Nada, and Champs Ellysees.
  • Needless to say, it required a lot of practice, coordination, and efforts by the kids to ensure that the entire show runs smoothly. It wasn’t easy – especially since the performers were from different countries, in different time zones!
  • The kids worked hard for several weeks to give one of the most entertaining performances.
  • Over 200 guests all over the world joined the concert, which was hosted through Zoom and live-streamed via Facebook.

The Generous Donations

  • RIA promised to match the donations.
  • Our aim was to raise $10000. But with the generous donations, we exceeded that and were successful in raising $17000!
  • A big thank you to everyone for their support.

Stay tuned on our social channels Facebook and LinkedIn, where we will continue to post videos of the performances.
