On March 10th, RIA Cares visited an NGO named Dada-chi Shala (Your Elder Brother’s School) for a supply drive, where the team donated projectors and a printer to provide students access to classroom equipment.
Mr. Pokharnikar, the organization’s founder, established the school to ensure underprivileged kids have access to quality education and now oversees 500+ homeless children in India. Dada-chi Shala has also impacted disadvantaged communities by providing education support to 1,700 kids on a pan-India level during the COVID-19 lockdown.
The experience was heartwarming, and the enthusiasm shown by the children said it all. We are thankful for the opportunity to contribute to the school’s efforts and recognize the noble mission of Dada-chi Shala volunteers!
